Tim Cook says contact tracing API will be available to developers on April 28

The European Commissioner, Thierry Breton had a video conversation with Apple's CEO Tim Cook recently, where he assured Breton that the first version of the Coronavirus contact tracing technology that Apple is building in partnership with Google will be made available to developers on April 28. The API was originally scheduled to release in May, but the early release will allow developers to work on cross-platform contact tracing apps to control the further spread of this deadly virus.
